The Texas WIC Partner Training Site offers free, online training that can be completed on your own time and at your own pace.
Training is offered for health care professionals and our community based partners on a range of topics such as breastfeeding management, baby behavior, and other infant feeding topics. These online courses include the didactic training objectives listed on the TTS scorecard and can be used as an option to meet the Step 2 criteria for staff education. How can I register for an online training course?
Visit the WIC Partner Training Site to enroll in self-paced online trainings.
To register for an online training course, please use a valid email address. A link will be sent to that email promptly after registration. If you do not receive an email 10 minutes after registering for a course, please email WICPartnerTraining@hhs.texas.gov or call 512-374-6371 for assistance.
Please include the name of the training course you are trying to access in the subject line of your email.
Why do I have to complete a survey at the end of my training course?
Feedback from training surveys helps Texas WIC learn ways to continuously improve and develop content that is highly relevant for our community partners. Additionally, surveys are required by professional commissioning boards for the award of continuing education credits.
Is continuing education available?
Some training will offer CE credits. Check the website for details.
I took the online survey, but I don’t see a certificate. What should I do?
After completion of the training survey, please check your email. Your email should contain a link which can be copy-pasted into Internet Explorer. Please do not use any other web browsers. This link will display your training certificate. If you do not receive an emailed link within 1 hour of completing your training and submitting your survey, please email WICPartnerTraining@hhs.texas.gov or call 512-374-6371 for assistance.
Will the WIC Partner Training site allow me to track my education?
No, the site will not track an individual’s training. You will receive a certificate at the end of each training that will note the CE provided. Please note: Certificates will only be available to print ONE time. Make sure that you are connected to a printer before beginning the training or simply take a screen shot of your certificate to print later.
I am having technical issues with the training. Who should I contact?

Include the name of the training you are having issues with, the date the training was taken, a description of the issue you are facing and any measures you have tried to remedy the issue (e.g. refreshing the page, closing and reopening the web browser, giving sufficient time for email).
